Al-Atrash has established herself as a leading novelist and prominent media figure in the Arab World. The Arab Human Report recognized her as a writer of distinct influence in her society. “Sayyedaty’ magazine listed her as one of the Arab World’s 60 most successful women.
She has published eight novels, a biography and a collection of short stories. Her works have been translated, incorporated in the curricula of universities or adopted as screen plays. She has received numerous awards, is the current President of "PEN JORDAN" and a member of the board of several cultural and media agencies
